Activo® acquire DAM News

DAM NEWs

Activo® are the new owners of Digital Asset Management News.  They have acquired the title from DAM consultants, Daydream, who will continue to manage editorial operations.

Ralph Windsor, the previous editor and current publisher of DAM News said:

“This is a great opportunity to see DAM News consolidate and grow its position as the only independent journal covering the DAM market.  We talked with quite a few other interested parties who were eager to acquire this publication, but they lacked Activo® ’s vision and wanted to take it in directions which would have compromised our editorial independence, which has always been our big USP and the reason we have such a loyal readership.  Activo® ’s OnDAM Paris conference has emerged as one of the few refreshing changes to the otherwise rather stale DAM market in recent years and we’re really excited to be able to work with Frédéric Sanuy, Malika Kechich and all the rest of the Activo®  team.”

Frédéric Sanuy, CEO and Founder of Activo® and Malika Kechich Co-founder described why the acquisition made sense for them:

“We are in new period of time after the pandemic and where Activo®  have significant expertise is in leveraging content. DAM News is a unique opportunity for us to talk to the DAM community from the user perspective. In this new era of web marketing, our focus for the last three years has been on producing content  and leveraging DAM at the enterprise level. On a daily basis, we are working with customers to on RFPs, configuring DAM systems, providing education/training and facilitating on-boarding. We are building a team of DAM experts across industries and countries to make DAM News a single place that can drive DAM education, expert DAM vendor selection and adoption for the benefits of customers.”

There are no plans to change the independent, vendor-neutral editorial policy and the unique voice that DAM News has.  A number of innovative new tools and facilities for subscribers are under development, including some cross industry partnerships with other consultants and commentators.
